Langda mango of uttarpradesh and bhagalpur(bihar) and zardalu mango of bhagalpur(bihar) which is now also gi tagged can be definately said as the king among the king of fruits being the world’s sweetest and juiciest mangoes. The zardalu and langda mangoes of uttar pradesh and bihar a few yeras ago were not the major exported mangoes of india as the high inland demands itself was greater then the production but the modernisation in cultivation techniques, increase in awareness of farmer’s by different farmer’s awareness initiatives led by the government led to extensive growth in cultivation of mangoes and hence now langda mngoes of uttar pradesh and bihar and zardaalu mangoes of bhagalpur have become one of the most demanded mangoes all over india and also the most exported to nepal, bhutan, USA, and the various gulf countries.
